Excursion

Niagara Winery Tour

Niagara is perhaps best known for the falls, however, the area surrounding this famous attraction is a premium wine producing region and this full day excursion will take you to an interesting selection of vineyards for a tour and tastings. You will also enjoy a three-course lunch at the elegant Bacchus Lounge restaurant at the Queens Landing Hotel in Niagara on the Lake and have some free time to look around this charming town. At the various vineyards you will sample both red and white wine as well as the Canadian speciality Ice Wine, a sweet wine made from grapes that have been naturally frozen whilst still on the vine. Lunch and hotel pick-ups are included. Please specify any dietary requirements.

The Corridor services operated by Canada’s national rail network shuttle between the eastern cities of Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec. This offers a fantastic alternative to driving, giving you the opportunity to relax and take in the scenery as it whizzes past. Trains have large panoramic windows and offer either comfortable economy class seats or the more spacious business class seats, which also come with a complimentary meal, glass of wine, newspapers and tea/coffee. Power outlets for computers or other devices are available in both classes.

Full-Day Trip to the Niagara Region

The iconic Niagara Falls are only an hour and a half away from Toronto, making them an easy full-day trip from the city. You will be transported by an air-conditioned coach to the falls, with informative commentary and photo stops along the way. Once there, you will join Hornblower Cruises for a boat trip right up to the base of the thundering Horseshoe Falls. Enjoy lunch and some free time to wander before re-joining the coach. The tour will then journey along the scenic Niagara Parkway, stopping at the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where you’ll have time to browse the boutique shops. Downtown Toronto hotel pick-ups and drop-offs are included for your convenience.

Entrance to the CN Tower

No visit to Toronto would be complete without a visit to the CN Tower. For 34 years up until 2010 it was the world’s tallest tower, standing at 533.33 metres, and has been for much longer one of the most recognisable man-made structures in Canada. The LookOut deck, roughly two thirds of the way up, offers spectacular views over the city and Lake Ontario beyond, with a glass floor on the lower level and an outdoor sky terrace to really feel the breeze on your face! Informative displays tell the story of the tower, its history and construction. For an additional charge you can go up another 33 storeys to the Sky Pod which, on a clear day, offers visibility of up to 160 kilometres, meaning you may even see the spray of Niagara Falls in the distance. 360 The Restaurant, located at the LookOut level of the tower, offers fine dining with a magnificent revolving view of the city. We highly recommend booking.

Toronto Islands Twilight Bicycle Tour

Toronto Islands is a chain of small, car-free islands just a short ferry ride away from the main city. With beautiful beaches and expanses of parkland it is a refreshing place to spend some time and exploring by bike is the best way to get around. At the end of the day it is particularly beguiling here, as the daytime visitors head back across the water and dusk descends casting a magical light. On this tour you will visit some of the neighbourhoods on the island, pass historic sites such as Gibraltar Point Lighthouse and the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, stop for desert at one of the island’s cafes, and just enjoy the tranquillity of Lake Ontario as it gently laps at the shoreline. From here there are also fantastic views of the Toronto city skyline as it lights up for the evening. This tour is suitable for both beginners and advanced riders; it moves at an easy pace and there are plenty of stops to talk and take in the sights. The islands are well lit and perfectly safe at night.
