Lakehouse Boutique Hotel is a smart, comfortable base in the heart of Riding Mountain National Park, set in the walkable townsite of Wasagaming near the shores of Clear Lake. It’s a great pick if you like the idea of being able to stroll out for a coffee, a lakeside wander or dinner in town, while still feeling properly “in the park” with nature right on your doorstep.

Accommodation is small and modern, with 16 rooms and suites, so it keeps that boutique feel rather than a big, busy hotel vibe. Rooms come with one or two queen beds and, handily, all include kitchenette facilities, with a mini fridge, coffee maker, three-burner stovetop, sink and microwave, which is ideal for simple breakfasts or packing snacks for a day out exploring. If you’d like a little more breathing room, the one-bedroom suite is the best option, with a separate bedroom and a queen bed, giving you a bit more space to spread out.

WiFi and parking are included, keeping things straightforward. One thing to note is that national park admission isn’t included, so you’ll need to pick up your Riding Mountain National Park pass separately, either online in advance or locally on arrival.
