George House Heritage Bed and Breakfast is a characterful stay in the fishing village of Dildo, set in a landmark harbour-front building dating back to 1885. Sitting above the water with views over the village and harbour, it has that classic outport feel, with a real sense of history and community, making it a lovely choice if you want somewhere with personality rather than a standard hotel stop.
Accommodation is deliberately small and intimate, with just five air-conditioned rooms, each with a queen bed. Rooms include the comforts you’d want for an easy stay, such as a TV, clock radio and hair dryer, along with thoughtful extras like bathrobes and evening turndown service, which gives it a slightly more polished feel than many B&Bs. Some rooms have partial ocean views, others have full harbour views, and a few include a jacuzzi for an extra bit of comfort.
Continental breakfast is included each morning, and WiFi and parking are also included, keeping things straightforward. It’s worth bearing in mind the building is historic, so rooms are smaller than you’d typically find in a modern property, but that’s very much part of the charm if you like heritage stays with a story behind them.
