The Hotel at Falcon Lake

The Hotel at Falcon Lake is a relaxed, park-side base in Manitoba’s Whiteshell Provincial Park, around 75 minutes east of Winnipeg. Fully renovated in 2023, it leans into a fun, retro design that nods back to the 1960s, when the property first opened, giving it a bit more character than your average roadside hotel, while still keeping everything easy and comfortable.

Accommodation includes 34 air-conditioned rooms, offered with either a king bed or two queens, and set up with the essentials you’ll actually use, including a TV, electric fireplace and hair dryer. If you’d prefer something more self-contained, the cottages are a great alternative, with a kitchenette, two bedrooms (each with a double bed), a bathroom, and a small sitting and dining area. Outside you’ve got open space and access to barbecues and playgrounds, which works especially well if you’re travelling as a family or just want the option of a simple meal outdoors.
