For a hassle-free holiday you can escape to the island of Langkawi for a mix of jungle-clad mountains and beach, or for something a little more adventurous the wilds of Borneo await. Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are great places to start your holiday to acclimatise if travelling with little ones. Here you can explore the KL Forest Eco Park or National Planetarium before heading to the cooler climes in the Cameron Highlands or discovering turtles in nearby Penang.
For older children (and, secretly, for their parents as well), adventures like white water rafting and cycling are bound to be popular, as is the opportunity to sample some of the nightlife in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
