Located in the heart of Pondicherry’s French quarter, La Villa is within walking distance from many of the town’s sights and is easily one of Pondicherry’s finest properties. The ground floor dates back over 100 years but the architects have ingeniously extended the property upwards, creating six lavish suites and a roof top pool. All of the suites are different but generally expect open spaces, immaculate white walls, crisp cotton sheets, minimalist natural furniture and indulgent bathrooms.  A spiralling staircase leads you to the pool, which is surrounded by flawless white walls and tropical trees that are growing through the entire property. The restaurant in the garden serves fine French food and is currently open only for breakfast and dinner. Despite being an upmarket hotel prices are very reasonable. Some of the rooms have day beds so therefore can sleep three, however the property does not allow children under 16. We feel this is a beautiful option for those wanting to indulge in a more adult environment. It’s incredibly chic and very sophisticated.
