Cathedral Mountain Lodge is a traditional timber property nestled amongst the trees, close to the banks of the spirited Kicking Horse River near Field. Comprising a number of authentic log cabins, this lodge offers guests touches of luxury surrounded by nature’s playground. Each room just invites relaxation at the end of the day, with a comfortable seating area, gas fireplace, cosy custom-made beds, deep soaker bath tub and walk-out deck from which to breathe in the pristine mountain air. With your stay you can enjoy a market fresh breakfast each morning and afternoon tea and cookies, along with complimentary canoe rental on nearby Moraine Lake. Guided walks are also available from Wednesday to Sunday; and, if pre-ordered, packed lunches can be arranged for any day of the week. Evening meals are made using, as much as possible, local, organic produce, and are taken in the main lodge dining room, which has fantastic views of the river valley. The Great Room in the lodge is also a gathering place for guests with inviting armchairs and a log fire, complemented by a selection of interesting books about the area and information about all the activities on offer here.
