Overview
Sri Lanka is a true idyllic escape and an ideal relaxing destination. The island is replete with pristine beaches, and due to years in isolation, many of them feel very untouched.
During the UK summer months head to the east coast; it’s dry during this time of year and offers long stretches of white sandy coastline. During the UK winter months then the beaches along the west and south coast are best; this line of coast is dotted with beautiful boutique hotels and small resorts. Many of the hotels throughout Sri Lanka are also home to great spas, often specialising in Ayurvedic treatments as well as offering yoga. One of the major draws of Sri Lanka is that it’s so small, so from the beach it’s easy to enjoy day trips to a plethora of interesting sights. To top it off, Sri Lanka combines brilliantly with The Maldives.
