Shinagawa Beach, Balapitiya

Shinagawa Beach is a bit of a rare find in this part of Sri Lanka's coast; a small boutique (only 26 rooms), secluded (but very close to the busier Bentota) and also great value!

The hotel lies on the southern end of a beautiful, sandy beach, that in turn is a few bays south of Bentota and north of Hikkaduwa. It's a pretty quiet part of the coast, but there is enough around to keep you busy if you fancy a trip out one day.

All 26 rooms and suites are spacious with private balconies offering glorious ocean views. They are well-equipped with A/C, ceiling fans, mini-bar, LED TV with satellite channels, and their en-suites have both bath tubs and showers.

Overall, this is one of our favourite 4* properties on the west coast with its boutique feel, peaceful location, uninterrupted sea views and sweeping golden sand beach.
