Amar Mahal

Amar Mahal is arguably one of Orchha’s most comfortable hotels with wood carved four-poster beds, pillared verandas, an Ayurveda spa and a beautifully crisp pool surrounded by manicured gardens. It’s built in a traditional style that reflects the domes of Orchha’s unique temples. The hotel boasts 46 well appointed and incredibly characterful rooms that all look out to the gardens or the luscious scenery beyond the hotel. They are spacious with royal Indian features making them feel grand and elegant (please note only the suites have double beds). The hotel’s restaurant features both western and Indian food and there’s also options such as cycling, trekking and bird. We feel Amar Hotel is a comfortable base if visiting Orchha’s temples.
