In the same 280 hectare Laguna Lang Co development as the Banyan Tree, you find the 229 room Angsana Resort, which opened 2012. These are the only two resorts for miles (and miles) around, cradled between the Truong Son Mountain Range and expansive Canh Duong beach. The Angsana is a beautiful resort with a little of everything to keep all-comers happy. There’s a 300m swimming pool flowing through the grounds, a sports centre, marine lab, golf course…etc. Notable for families is the Angsana Kids Club, where little ones can enjoy games, crafts and movies with complimentary supervision.
The Deluxe Rooms come with either mountain, lagoon, or sea views, as well as decorative Vietnamese touches like calligraphy, lanterns and bamboo. The palette is striking with vibrant orange accents, latticed cream dividers, and a brown chaise longue. They really are beautiful rooms – starting with ‘Deluxe’, but its worth upgrading to the slightly larger ‘Premier’ rooms, which feature a private plunge pool. Going up through the room categories from here there are several suite options, and it all culminates in the amazing Two-Bedroom Lofts, with more than 179sq m of space, private infinity plunge pools, outdoor pavilions, wrap-around windows, L-shaped sofas, and separate dining areas. All rooms are equipped with spacious bathrooms, LCD TV, DVD player, and free WiFi. Dining options include the rather swanky ‘Rice Bowl’, the vibrant ‘Market Place’ and funky beach restaurant ‘Moomba’, plus enough bars to provide options for either a quiet cocktail or a lively beer.
This resort is very a child-friendly, but also a real treat for couples who enjoy a bright and funky vibe.
