Day 1
Depart on your overnight flight to Cape Town.
Day 2
Upon arrival into Cape Town you are privately transferred to your hotel for a four night stay. As you arrive in the morning, you have the rest of the afternoon to explore and get a flavour of the city.
Day 3
For a first time visit to the city we highly recommend visiting Table Mountain and Robben Island, both highlights to any visit. For the more adventurous, you can even hike up to the top of Table Mountain.
Day 4
Uthando is an inspirational charity with projects ranging from market gardens to nursing homes. This tour has no set itinerary and where you visit will depend on what activities are happening on that particular day as they are not laid on for tourists. It is a humbling and challenging day, but ultimately hugely uplifting.
Day 5
Today you can either experience the 'Footsteps to Freedom' Township tour or join a guided tour immersing yourself in the food culture of the city, tasting your way around the artisanal food stalls and coffee shops.
Day 6
You are transferred to the airport where you board your onward flight to Durban. On arrival you transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7
Your hire vehicle is dropped off at your hotel this morning. Once set, you travel north to the Battlefields for a three night stay.
Day 8-9
Undertake tours of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift as well as relaxing and maybe visiting other notable battlefields in the area.
Day 10
Your journey continues into the safari region where you can get involved with a number of conservation projects.
Day 11
Within the reserves of Phinda and Thanda you can get involved with projects such as rhino tracking, pangolin conservation, cheetah tracking and elephant conservation. Just let your specialist know which project you are keen to get involved with and they can include it in your itinerary.
Day 12
You have a second day to enjoy your game drives through the park and/ or take part in another conservation project.
Day 13
Leaving your safari, you make your way north, first stopping in Piet Retief to break up the journey to the Escarpment.
Day 14
On arriving in the Escarpment you settle into your accommodation for a two night stay.
Day 15
Continuing your community tour, you travel to Hoedspruit where you join the 'Fruitful Community tour'. You visit a satellite community to discover how a community project is working to educate, empower and implement sustainable methods of income in the community.
Day 16
You make your way into the Kruger for a three night safari. There are an array of lodges to choose from but every lodge has expert safari guides to get you the best possible game viewing.
Day 17
Safari is hugely rewarding, with game drives getting you incredibly close to the big game, and bush walks introducing you to the smaller residents of the bush.
Day 18
A final day to enjoy your safari adventure.
Day 19
After a final morning game drive and breakfast, you drive to the airport where you board your onward flights home.
