Onhwa’ Lumina is a beautifully atmospheric night-time experience in Wendake, just outside Québec City, combining a gentle forest walk with immersive light, sound and projection. As darkness falls, the wooded trail becomes a storytelling space, inviting you into the symbols, rhythms and spirit of Huron-Wendat culture in a way that feels moving, magical and quietly powerful.
Following a 1.2-kilometre pathway at your own pace, you’ll pass through a series of scenes designed to spark emotion and reflection, blending ancestral stories with a forward-looking message. Under the trees and the night sky, the experience draws you into songs, beats and visuals that create a strong sense of connection, not just to the culture being shared, but also to the landscape around you. It’s a brilliant choice if you want something different from a standard tour, especially as an evening add-on after a day in Québec City.
Onhwa’ Lumina runs seasonally from mid-May through to early November, with more frequent departures through the summer and a reduced schedule in spring and autumn. Start times vary with sunset, and the walk runs rain or shine, which only adds to the forest atmosphere, so a raincoat is a smart shout.
