Canyoning in Oman

Oman is the perfect place to strap on your walking boots and wend your way into the depths of the mountains, but for those looking for more of a challenge then canyoning is the place to start. Snake Gorge in the heart of the Wadi Bani Awf, up in the mountains near Nizwa just south of Muscat, and Al Hayer Falls near the pools at Wadi Bani Khalid further east of Muscat, are the two principal places to experience the best canyoning in Oman.

An exciting journey through Oman's natural waterpark involves canyoning, trekking, swimming, abseiling, jumping off rocks into freshwater pools and hiking through the narrow and winding pathways. This is definitely an excursion more suited to active adrenaline-loving clients, but no prior experience of canyoning is required – all you need is a good sense of adventure!
