The Sheraton Grand is the top hotel option in Hiroshima and is conveniently adjacent to the train station – perfect for those arriving or departing on the shinkansen bullet trains when travelling through the country.  Although the main sights of the city – the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome, the bustling Hondori Street in Downtown – are a bit of a distance away, this isn’t an issue.  The quaint trams that span the city are an efficient and inexpensive way to explore the region, and keen walkers can enjoy the lack of hills if they decide to go on foot.  If you fancy catching a local baseball game you are also right next to the Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium, home of the Hiroshima Carp.
