The Lord Elgin is one of Ottawa’s oldest hotels, a landmark building that was constructed in the 1940s to give the city a lift during World War II. The property has retained its historic feel but offers guests modern comfort and excellent service. The guestrooms have traditional décor alongside flatscreen TVs, mini-fridge and i-home docking stations, and with the option of one queen or two double beds. There is a small café onsite and a gift shop for all your local souvenirs, and the fitness centre boasts a lap pool, whirlpool, sauna and gym. The hotel is in a fantastic central location, across the road from Confederation Park and a couple of blocks from the parliament buildings, making it a great value base for your time here.
