Overview
Although perhaps not that well know for its wildlife, Vietnam none-the-less can offer something for the wildlife aficionado, particularly for bird-watchers.
In terms of larger animals, the best destination is the Cat Tien National Park in the south. Here you’ll find elephants, sun bears, gibbons and a couple of extremely rare primates, the Delacour and the Cat Ba langur. Bird-watching is great throughout the country along riverbanks, but is particularly good in the national parks of Cat Tien and Ba Be.
