A variety of treks can be done across the island, ranging from leisurely paved hikes between resorts or beaches to the more adventurous, sweat inducing Tekek to Juara Jungle Walk. This 7km hike takes you through Tioman’s tropical interiors across the island. The beach is well worth the effort. Guides can be hired from hotels, or if not required the front desk team can give directions. Always be sure to carry water when hiking, as well as a torch and poncho.

Wildlife is abundant in Tioman and walkers are often rewarded with some great spots including long tailed macaques, black giant squirrels, porcupines, pythons and by night the endangered binturong. We recommend closed shoes as snakes are common on the island.
