Excursion Overview
Explore the city of Kuala Lumpur on foot and by public transport to discover the hidden gems with a local touch. The first stop is the National Museum (Muzium Negara) which has been instrumental in the restoration and preservation of the nation’s heritage. Continue by MRT to the Central Market (Pasar Senai). This was once the most famous wet market in the city and is now a bazaar of arts and crafts. Visit a traditional medicine shop and meet the local artists along the way.
Building up an appetite it’s then time to feast on a traditional lunch at a local Indian or Peranakan restaurant. Continue on to the Taoist temple, Sze Ya, and the nearby Sri Maha Mariamman Hindu Temple before taking the monorail to Chow Kit. This classic wet market sells everything you can imagine and is a great place for photos. Your guide can teach you about the exotic items on offer before heading back to your hotel or the city centre using local transport.
