This fascinating and completely unique excursion takes you out of Cochin towards Nellore, a 45-minute drive. The destination is a Kalari, a traditional school that teaches the 1000-year-old Keralan martial art of Kalaripayyattu. The art is a mix of dance steps and martial art; the discipline is the source of many of the steps included in classical dances throughout the region. While you are there you will watch the experts and learn some of the moves for yourself. This is a truly authentic and interactive experience.
