This morning you will enjoy a walking tour through one of Asia’s biggest markets, Koyambedu. In the past the market was a hub for local weavers who manufactured cloth and fabrics for the British. It has now been converted in to a bustling wholesale market and is currently a prime commercial area of the city. During the tour you get to enjoy the exuberant atmosphere as well as passing through some important building and streets on the way. This includes the magnificent Indo-Saracen buildings of the High Court and the General Post Office, the wholesale paper, grain, and textile markets as well as the famous flower market. Please note some of the tour will be explored by pedal rickshaws.
