Taking its name from a ruined fort, Bandhavgarh is India’s foremost national park. The 105 square kilometre park (with an additional 400 square kilometre buffer zone) has one of the highest concentrations of tiger in India. It is there not surprising that the park is popular. The afternoon game drive is a great time to experience Bandhavgarh as wildlife starts to move due the cooling temperatures, often going in search of water.  Bandhavgarh is home to wild boar, antelope, deer, sloth bear and even wild dog. For birders there’s approximately 250 endemic and migratory species to go in search of. Generally the afternoon safari lasts approximately three hours.
