Excursion Overview
Standing at 10,311 feet, Fansipan is Vietnam's highest mountain. It is only 4 miles from Sapa Town, but it takes at least 3 days of forest trekking to get up the peak and back. There is nothing too technical en-route. No ropes are needed and therefore the peak is accessible to anybody who is in reasonably good shape. You simply need endurance and plenty of positive energy, as the terrain is attritional and often heavy going, plus the weather can sometimes be foggy and soggy (but sometimes beautiful!).
As there are no mountain huts on the way, you will be camping and porters will carry all the equipment and food that you need.

Usually book our own holidays but the trip we wanted to Vietnam and Cambodia was far too complicated, Lisa was excellent from start to finish, the arrangements were seamless. Guides and drivers were amazing, hotels were perfectly located to allow us to walk and explore. Food walking tours were great and the tuk tuk tour fantastic. We covered everything we wanted and more including the blessings by the Buddhist monk, climbing inside the cu chi tunnels and cocktails in Raffles. Couldn’t recommend Lisa and HA any more fantastic service.

Can’t thank Fenton and everyone at Holiday Architects for organising our amazing trip to Vietnam. Nothing was too much trouble - all admin, emails and any concerns were dealt with in a timely manner, certainly within 24hrs. The personal touch had been considered throughout the trip - for us dietary requirements. I shall encourage family and friends to make use of this wonderful company!!
