The old city of Varanasi sits along the western bank of the Ganges and through a tight maze of gails (alleyways) it extends away from the ghats.  Our walking tour of Varanasi takes in the labyrinth of tiny winding streets and narrow lanes that can be a little overwhelming if exploring on your own. There’s no fixed route and your guide will walk you along the small streets, stopping to see local delicacies being cooked in roadside cafes; small outlets selling local groceries and street carts laden with neem sticks. This is a fantastic way to learn about local life in Varanasi that can often be overlooked.
