Excursion Overview
You will be taken to the park by jeep with your naturalist in the late afternoon when the animals become most active and often go in search of water. Pench Tiger Reserve as a whole is said to be home to 20-25 tigers, however it’s not guaranteed that you will see these incredible creatures. The park is more commonly populated with wolf, sambar deer, chital, wild boar, jackal as well as wild dog along with close to 200 species of birds. There are a number of mahouts and elephants in the park that seek out tigers. Once they have found them, you may view the tiger from the elephant's back, a truly amazing experience. You will return to your lodge for lunch and the chance to freshen up and rest.
