Horse Riding

Desert Homestead have their own stable of horses, offering a wide range of routes to explore the Namib on horseback. This is a lovely way to discover the desert, from a high vantage point with your steed taking on all the exertion, covering plenty of ground over a relatively short time. For the real enthusiast there are overnight camping expeditions that can last anything from one to three nights, staying in dome tents with hot bucket showers and hearty meals round a campfire. Most people will have a little less time on their hands, so a morning ride culminating in a bush breakfast amid the dunes, or an afternoon canter leading to a sundowner drink and a ride home under the stars is ideal. This activity is available for riders of all levels of experience and ability.
