You head up into the High Atlas, seeing the scenery change as you pass through pine and juniper forests and climb ever higher. You’ll pass villages hunkered down against the rockfaces, low, mud-brick buildings huddled together as protection against the winter cold, and will have the opportunity to visit one of them and drink the compulsory glass of mint tea with a local family. Continuing on to the scenic Ourika Valley you’ll reach the village of Agounsane where our local agents help fund a school, where you’ll meet some of the teachers and endearing children. After a picnic lunch you can explore the village and see the local potters at work before you head back to Marrakesh.
