A couple of twists and turns away from the busy Mouassine Mosque in the heart of the souq a short walk from the Jemaa El Fna, Riad Zolah feels much more quiet and peaceful than this central location suggests. Spread over two courtyards with just three rooms per courtyard, it’s an intimate place. Décor is typically Moroccan, but pitched nicely, somewhere between being too simple and too over-the-top. The rooms are a generous size, and there’s a very pleasant lounge linking the two courtyards. Breakfast can be taken on the attractive roof terrace, and evening meals cooked by the friendly and helpful staff are simple and extremely tasty.
