Riad Cinnamon manages to marry quite traditional, opulent Moroccan design, with much more modern, international touches, and does so in a very stylish manner. So many of the motifs found in a typical riad – ornate brass-work, smooth walls, carved plaster – are here, but so too are bold contemporary colours and small statues of Buddha. This is a small hotel, with an intimate courtyard and fountain at its heart; there’s an attractive lounge on the ground floor and a well set-up for relaxing and dining, whilst enjoying views over the Marrakesh rooftops to the Atlas Mountains in the background.
