Perhaps the most noticeable thing about Les Borjs De La Kasbah is that it boasts more, and better, facilities, and is generally of a higher standard, than it’s very competitive price would otherwise suggest. Owned and managed by a British family with an illustrious history in British tourism to Morocco, they perhaps understand the British visitor in a way few others can, making for a great blend of familiar touches, and very traditional Moroccan style. Spread over two large courtyards, there is a pool markedly larger than the typical riad plunge pool, and a decent sized spa and hammam. It feels more intimate than its size at 18 rooms implies, and the faithful restoration work has been thoughtfully done, stopping short of the opulent excesses which can be a bit overwhelming at the really palatial riads. The location, in the Kasbah quarter, is quitter than those more centrally located, and is convenient for the Saadien Tombs and Badii Palace, yet still easily walkable to the Jemaa El Fna square.
