Deep in the Wahiba Sands is an encampment of traditional Bedouin tents perfect for the more intrepid desert adventurer. The tents are furnished with simple beds and low tables and chairs. Next to your tent is your private bathroom, a permanent structure with a toilet and shower. There’s no electricity so at night your path will be lit by kerosene lamps and each tent comes with a torch. Flickering camp fire light at the restaurant will illuminate your simple, tasty food and the local musicians playing in the background. This is one of the few camps in the Wahiba Sands with a pool (a sweet relief on those particularly hot days) and the isolation of 1000 Nights makes it excellent for stargazing.
