Second Home, as the name suggests, sets out to offer a home-from-home experience quite unlike anything else in Lima, and it is certainly a very special place to stay. The converted mansion house is the permanent residence of the renowned artist Victor Delfin and, although his daughter is in charge of the day-to-day management of the guest accommodation, you will still see Victor’s works of art throughout the house and garden, as well as having the opportunity to meet him if he is around. All eight rooms are individually decorated and have different outlooks – you may experience a little street noise from some rooms, but could be rewarded by the wonderful views of the Pacific ocean. There is no restaurant on-site but Second Home is conveniently located for some of the excellent restaurants in Barranco, Lima most characterful and exciting emerging neighbourhood.
