Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Kuala Lumpur - a holiday can also be arranged without flights

Day 2
Arrive to Kuala Lumpur where you will be met at the airport for your private transfer to your hotel. The day is free to relax after your flight, hit the shops in the city centre or laze by the pool.

Day 3
The day begins with a leisurely breakfast before a private city tour to experience the city's history and ethnic heritage. Children can enjoy a visit to a mosque, tasting traditional snacks and wander the bustling lanes within the central market. Chinatown is the last stop, always a big hit with families and a great place to soak up the city buzz. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Day 4
Today, take a private visit to Batu Caves. These are a series of impressive cave temples set in towering limestone hills just north of Kuala Lumpur.

Day 5
Leave the city behind and head overland on a drive to the jungle. A longboat cruise takes you into the rainforest and the afternoon is spent enjoying activities or relaxing. This evening join your guide on a night time nature trail.

Day 6
Explore the rainforest with your family on a guided tour - keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, cruise the Tahan River, walk canopy trails and swim in natural falls.

Day 7
Today travel by boat to a local aborigine’s settlement where you can learn about the tribe's nomadic lifestyle.

Day 8
A relaxing 10 minute river crossing takes you back to the jetty before a private transfer to Kuala Terengganu on the east coast. A popular spot for turtles you may be lucky to catch the nesting or hatching, or explore the coast by bicycle. Alternatively take the afternoon to swim in the sea and relax.

Day 9
Visit the beautiful countryside around Terengganu with your family. Admire traditional lifestyles as you visit local villages, stop for lunch at a small restaurant and learn about local crafts. The afternoon is free to relax on the beach or continue to explore the countryside.

Continue by road to the Jetty to catch a speedboat to the Perhentian Islands or Redang Island - the short journey will take you to your island hideaway where you will spend the final leg of your Malaysian holiday.

Our summer family escape to Malaysia offers the perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxation between the months of April to October, but can easily be adjusted to suit a holiday from November to March by simply switching the beach location to Langkawi. On this 15 day holiday you will arrive to the bright city lights of Kuala Lumpur before heading to the ancient rainforest of Taman Negara. Walk the jungle trails, spot rare wildlife and dine on tasty local cuisine before arriving on the east coast of Malaysia. The wild coast of Terengganu is perfect for spotting turtles, cycle tours and a slice of laid back local lifestyles. Continue on to the island of Redang (or to the Perhentian Islands) for an extended beach break and a chance to enjoy the best of the beaches and the jungles. Children will love the perfect white sand beaches, as well as the epic snorkelling, whilst parents can enjoy some much needed pampering and relaxation before heading back to the UK.
