This entertaining and well paced itinerary allows a family to explore the highlights of Karnataka and North Kerala beaches, one of India’s most friendly and stunning destinations. Less than 10 hours flight time from London to Bangalore, South India is a perfect family friendly destination for those seeking a family holiday with a side of adventure for your travelling teens.

There’s so much at every turn to keep all members of the family entertained, and it will also open the kids’ eyes to new cultures and ways of life. This itinerary keeps things flexible – you can keep an adrenaline junkie teen happy while equally pleasing those who love the pool-side so that everyone can do what they want, whenever they feel like it. All within the space of a half-term break! We recommend travel to South India from late October until the end of April. The temperatures start to soar in May.

Begin your trip with a soft landing, staying just outside the city of Bangalore, before driving to Mysore. Explore old Mysore on bikes, and experience the local way of life.  Enroute to the coast stop at Nagerhole National Park and go on safari in search of leopard, tiger and elephant. Pass through spice and coffee plantations, where you will meet tribal villagers who will happily show you their way of life.  Reaching the Arabian Sea, a well deserved few days of rest completes the holiday at Nileshwar, with beautiful beachfront properties offering backwater experiences.

1 night Bangalore – 2 nights Mysore –  3 nights Nagerhole –  2 nights Wayanad – 2 nights Nileshwar. (Extension Idea : Mumbai)
