Royal Orchid’s The Metropole is a heritage hotel conveniently located in Mysore. Built in the 1920’s by the former Maharaja of Mysore, the property maintains a lot of its colonial splendour with imperial arches, imposing pillars and decorative corridors. There are two restaurants, a pool as well as a spa.  The rooms are spacious and traditional in style with dark wooden furniture and modern bathrooms. The property is arguably a little dated and the service is far from perfect, but despite this we feel The Metropole is one of the best options in Mysore, an area with very few good hotels.
