Nestled within 25 acres of coconut palms with direct access to the beach, Marari Beach Resort is an eco-friendly haven and the ideal place to end a trip through South India.
There are 62 thatched villas peppered throughout the grounds, these are designed in a traditional Malayalam style. There are three categories to choose from: Garden Villas, Garden Pool Villas and Deluxe Pool Villas. Each airy and detached Garden Villa has a private enclosed garden and we feel these are more than adequate for most stays as they are tastefully decorated and spacious. Throughout the grounds you’ll find a cool crisp pool, an Ayurvedic spa, tennis courts, and a fantastic open sided restaurant serving scrumptious Keralan and international cuisine. Bicycles are also available free of charge; a perfect way to explore the small villages in the area.
Location
Mararikulam is a small fishing village and a beach side location, just an hour south from Cochin and a mere 14km from Alleppey in the Backwaters. You can travel directly from Marari to the airport for your return flight home with ease. This is the coastline where the Arabian Sea meets the Indian Ocean; the sands are golden and fringed with coconut palms. It’s quiet, clean and a wonderful way to end your trip in Kerala, offering a more serene and laid-back environment in comparison with Kovalam further south. Unlike Kovalam, accommodation along this stretch is fairly limited so it’s well worth booking in advance to get the best options. If you do, you’ll have the choice of small, pretty and unique properties that beautifully compliment the peaceful surroundings.
