Day 1
Fly to Anchorage, via Seattle or Vancouver. Enjoy a relaxing evening in this laid-back Alaskan town.
Day 2
Spend the day having a look around Anchorage. There is a number of museums and heritage centres which will give you an interesting insight in to the history and culture of this unique city.
Day 3
Today you have a scenic transfer to Seward where you board your luxury cruise liner. Settle in to your cabin and familiarise yourself with all the facilities of the ship before setting sail on your adventure of a lifetime.
Day 4
Today you cruise along the coast to the Hubbard Glacier. This enormous glacier is more than six miles wide where it meets the ocean, and gigantic blocks of ice calve off the front, sometimes creating icebergs 3 or 4 storeys high.
Day 5
You reach Sitka this morning and have time to enjoy some of the shore excursions available. Originally part of Russia, this unassuming town has a vibrant culture and is surrounded by the mountains of Baranof Island.
Day 6
You sail around Admiralty Island today in order to reach magnificent Tracy Arm fjord then from here continue on to Juneau. You have an afternoon for activities here – choose experiences such as further exploration of the fjord by boat, a trip to see Mendenhall Glacier, gold panning or a guided city walk.
Day 7
Continue on to Skagway, the gateway town to the Klondike gold rush. There are several shore excursions available here which explore the historic of the gold rush, as well as the opportunity to ride the White Pass Railway, the original railroad that brought gold down from Yukon to the coast.
Day 8
You sail in to Ketchikan today, with a full afternoon to enjoy this delightful little town. Take a city tour and view the famous totem poles, visit nearby fjords, or watch a lumberjack show.
Day 9
You have a full day to sit back and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Inside Passage today, passing remote gulf islands and, with any luck, seeing some marine wildlife along the way.
Day 10
Arrive in Vancouver overnight and disembark after breakfast this morning. Make your way to your nearby hotel to drop your bags off then enjoy the afternoon stretching your legs along the waterfront or exploring some of the interesting neighbourhoods of the city.

Day 12
A second day in Vancouver. Take a guided tour at Granville Island Market – a foodie’s heaven - and sample some of the fine food here. There are also some fantastic galleries with local arts and crafts and as street performers who help create the lively atmosphere the market is so famous for.
Day 13
Board the famous Rocky Mountaineer in Goldleaf class and start your journey east, through the arid Fraser River Valley as far as Kamloops. The staff will give informative commentary along the way and the train slows as you pass the most spectacular vistas so you have plenty of time to soak it all up.
Day 14
Re-join the train today and continue your journey, passing through the most fertile eastern region of British Columbia, soon reaching the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and travelling through the Kicking Horse Pass to Lake Louise and Banff.
Day 15
Enjoy a half day private sightseeing tour of the highlights of Banff, including the famous hoodoos, the Bow Valley and the gondola. However, this tour can be tailored to your particular interests.
Day 16
Enjoy a last morning in Banff then later on take a private transfer to Calgary Airport for your overnight flight home.
