Africa On Foot is located in the Klaserie Reserve is a very large private reserve bordering the Kruger, and is very undeveloped in comparison to many of the other sections of the Greater Kruger. So you will encounter far fewer other vehicles here and there is a real sense of remoteness and wilderness. The camp itself is rustic, like a traditional old bush camp. Accommodation is in thatched rondavels with simple wooden furniture, and the main lodge area is open-sided and homely. As the name suggests, walking safaris are a major part of the day here, with a 2-4 hour bush walk every morning and a more traditional game drive in the afternoon. The lodge is very competitively priced, and the perfect way to experience what safari was like before the arrival of spas, plunge pools and gold taps!
