El Mapi is an affordable place to stay in the heart of Aguas Callientes town, albeit it can get noisy at night, so for those of you needing a good nights sleep, ask for a room that is away from the bar area. Though one of the larger hotels in the town, El Mapi is owned by the renowned Inkaterra chain which means service levels are good and rooms, though small, are bright and fresh and feature good amenities. Interiors are modern and quirky, and guests have dinner included at the on-site restaurant – some people find the canteen-style ambience not to their taste and choose to dine elsewhere, but the standard is good and we like the informal atmosphere.
