As you step inside the entrance of this restored colonial mansion you are greeted with an elegant internal courtyard, with cobble-stone flooring scattered with comfy furniture. The boutique hotel is the most characterful luxury option in Arequipa, making it a fantastic base for your time in the city. The location is spot on, and the hotel is within stumbling distance from many of the city’s best restaurants, and is just three blocks from the central Plaza de Armas. A second courtyard is home to an alfresco dining area, where tasty breakfasts of fresh seasonal fruits and other Peruvian delicacies are served. The Alma Cocina Viva restaurant receives unanimous praise, and serves a mixture of international and local dishes. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped, but have less characterful than the communal areas. The exceptions lie in the Senior and Imperial suites, which are located next to the main courtyard and are full of historic charm. Complimentary wi-fi is available in the communal areas, but there is an additional charge for wife access in your room.
