Day 1
Depart London in the evening for flight to Delhi.
Day 2
This morning you will arrive into Delhi where you will be met by your private car and driver. You will be driven to your beautiful accommodation where you can spend the remainder of your day at leisure.
Day 3
Enjoy our Old and New Delhi City Tour today. Note the complete contrast in atmosphere and architecture between the two areas of the city. This evening you might like to enjoy a guided night walk through Chandi Chowk, one of India's oldest markets.
Day 4
Today you will catch the train to Agra. Later in the afternoon you will visit one of the world's greatest monuments, the Taj Mahal at sunset.
Day 5
Return to Agra this morning and enjoy the Taj Mahal at sunrise. In addition to this you might wish to visit the Red Fort and Itmad-ud-daula. Afterwards you driver will take you to Bharatpur (via Fatehpur Sikri if time permits). From here you will catch the train to Sawai Madhophur, close to Ranthambhore National Park. On arrival at the station you will be collected and driven to your accommodation, right on the edge of the park.
Day 6
Today you will enjoy both a Morning and Afternoon Game Drive in Ranthambhore National Park. Ranthambore is a relatively small park with a high density of tigers, making this a popular park to visit. Enjoy the experience of tracking tigers.
Day 7
Your journey will continue to Jaipur today, approximately 180km away, which should take about 4 hours by road. This afternoon enjoy our Jaipur Bazaar Walking Tour. Jaipur is known as the 'Pink City', home to fine palaces, forts and palaces. It's a wonderful introduction to Rajasthan and its exuberant bazaars are not to be missed.
Day 8
Visit Jaipur's resplendent sights today in our Jaipur City and Amber Fort tour.
Day 9
Today you will travel approximately 170km to Mandawa in the Shekhawati region, approximately a four-hour journey from Jaipur. Spend this afternoon enjoying our half-day tour of Mandawa. The area is known for its colourfully adorned mansions.
Day 10
From Mandawa continue west to Bikaner, an atmospheric medievil city made famous due to its 'Rat Temple'. This journey should take approximately 4 hours, covering approximately 180km.
Day 11
Enjoy a tour of Bikaner today, taking in the 'Rat Temple' and the camel breeding centre.
Day 12
From Bikaner head further west to Jaisalmer, this should take approximately 6 hours, covering a distance of about 340km. This journey takes you very much into rural Rasjasthan and into the Thar desert. Notice the bright colours of the turbans and saris as you travel pass traditional towns and villages.
Day 13
Enjoy a tour of Jaisalmer Fort today. If you're feeling more adventurous you might like to visit Khuri Village where you can enjoy a camel safari.
Day 14
From Jaisalmer your driver will bring you back east to Rohet, a beautiful ancestral home that's been converted into a hotel. There's plenty of activities here, take a look at our ideas for free time. We highly recommend going to visit a local Bishnoi village while you are here.
Day 15
You will be taken into Jodhpur today, a short distance from Rohet. Known as 'The Blue City', Jodhpur is home to the formiddable Mehranngarh Fort, arguably Rajasthan's most spectacular fort. It's been given its name due the numerous houses painted blue, the city scape is spectacular.
Day 16
Enjoy a tour of Jodhpur today. The remainder of your day is at leisure to explore the winding blue streets, or to relax in your hotel. This evening you may like to try your had at an Indian cookery lesson.
Day 17
Continue south to rural Narlai today, a 150km drive that should take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Stay in Rawla Narlai, a gorgeous 17th century fort that's been turned into a wonderful boutique hotel.Indulge in a stepwell dinner this evening!
Day 18
This morning enjoy a walking tour of the local village before contining south to Udaipur. En route you might like to visit the spectacular Ranakpur Temple and Kumbhalgarh Fort turning your journey into a full day adventure.
Day 19
This morning you will enjoying a cycling tour thorough the countryside surrounding Udaipur before enjoying a half day tour of the town. The remainder of your day is at leisure to relax.
Day 20
Fly to from Udaipur to London via Delhi, departing in the morning.
