Add in an array of adventure activities for those older teenagers and parents too! Your family journey through Costa Rica takes in some of the country’s greatest regions. Begin in the capital for a quick overnight, then head off to the magical waterways of Tortuguero for an up-close wildlife adventure. Whilst here in the summer months, it is a perfect time to witness turtle nesting season in the National Park too! Travel onwards to Arenal to experience some of the country’s most famous volcanoes and wildlife. This region is also the adventure capital of Costa Rica. With so much to cram in while you are here, we have added in some options. However, for the more adventurous out there, we can change these to suit your preferences with alternative activities such as whitewater rafting and horse riding too! Next, head to Monteverde for your fix of the cloud forest wildlife and keep a lookout for the incredible array of tropical birds that are only found in this region. Also, in Monteverde, you can fly across the treetops on one of the best zipline circuits in Costa Rica and see the wonders of the Cloud Forest by night on a nocturnal forest visit. The perfect way to end your adventure, enjoy relaxing days on the beach if you are ready to completely unwind before you head home, but this area has a choice of many water sport activities within easy reach should you find yourselves getting restless.
