Home to thundering waterfalls, freshwater dolphins and herds of Elephants, the remote and wild East of Cambodia is a wildlife enthusiast’s playground. Take a thrilling community based forest trek around Mondulkiri or Ratanakiri to spot primates or head to the ELIE project to observe the work of volunteers and rescued elephants. For birdwatchers, head to the Siema Protected Forest or, for those short on time, a morning on Tonle Sap can offer some excellent spots.
