Explore Koh Trong, an island in the Mekong River. It is your choice as to whether you would like to take a local horse cart or pedal yourself around the island on a bicycle.
Your first destination is the island’s ‘Wat’, where a rather special activity awaits you: a local farmer has taken the initiative and instigated a tree-planting project, with the aim of re-cultivating the once densely forested island. Make you own contribution to the project by planting your own tree here, which will then carry your name tag and leave a positive imprint on the island.
After freshening up, relax with a tasty Khmer lunch under pomelo trees, at a typical local-house right beside the river.
Continue by cycling (or horse-cart) around the island, where you will be able to taste local fruit and visit a Vietnamese floating village on the southern tip of the island. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
