Nestled within a working tea estate, Stafford Bungalow is a beautifully restored planter’s bungalow with four wonderful rooms. The bungalow sits just 7km from Nan-Oya station, so is perfect for those travelling south from Kandy by train. Each room has been very carefully and tastefully designed with sumptuous fabrics, polished wooden floors and antique inspired furniture. There are two spacious Deluxe Rooms; a luxurious Master Suite, with a four poster bed and private sit-out as well as a Family Suite with both a main bedroom and small twin room. At the centre of the property is a cosy lounge with an open fireplace; next to it is a beautiful dining room. You can spend hours looking through the old books and magazines in front of the fire.
Separate from the property you’ll find a games room and a tennis court along with wonderfully landscaped gardens overlooking the hills. The owners of Stafford Bungalow have gone a long way to develop walks and cycling routes through their beautiful tea estate and farm and their in-house tea expert can also teach you tea tasting as well – a quirky difference is that he likes to compare the same grade of tea that come from different tea factories, so you can see the variations between the brands. Stafford Bungalow will sell wine and beer on request, so for anything stronger we suggest taking your own along with you.
