Rangala House is a converted tea-planter’s bungalow located in the Hill Country and on the edge of the Knuckles Mountain Range and just over an hour’s drive from Kandy.  With incredible panoramic views and a noticeably cooler and fresher climate, this lovely small guest house (only 4 rooms) has a large sitting room with double French windows, a stone fireplace and a spacious dining area.  There is also an outdoor pool (though it’s not heated, so bear in mind that a dip can be chilly depending on the weather) and a delightful terrace where you can relax.  The resident Chef is very experienced in cooking both Sri Lankan and international cuisine and there are no printed menus as you discuss with staff in advance your individual preferences using the best quality local produce that is available.  Rangala House is in the perfect spot for hill-walking, cycling, bird-watching or simply relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views as the monkeys cause mischief around the grounds.
