Located in 15,000 hectares of untouched wilderness just south of the Cederberg Mountains near Ceres in the Western Cape is Kagga Kamma Private Game Reserve. Bushman Lodge is nestled into the rugged landscape, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings, a feast of arid scenery, sandstone rock formations, dry mountain fynbos and well-adapted grazing wildlife like Gemsbok, Zebra, Black Wildebeest and Springbok. Bushman Lodge has a unique selection of accommodation from thatched rondavels/huts that have a sleeper couch (great for families) to unique cave suites built against the sandstone rock formations, and one Outcrop open-air room – a luxury sleep out! Due to the sensitivity of the area electricity is run off a hybrid power system and turned off at 23h00. Even amongst this wilderness setting, you’ll find a sumptuous restaurant, relaxing bar and outside “Lapa”, swimming pool and beauty/wellness area, plus a mini observatory with a 10-inch telescope to observe the stars and planets at night.
