Boschendal has been opening its gates to visitors for many years now, and it shows as they offer a great range of attractions beyond just the wines. Their Manor House dates back to the 17th century, and its classic Cape Dutch architecture has been complimented with restored, genuine furnishings from the same period; the Manor House now functions as a small museum. The grounds are extensive and pretty: you’re invited to walk around, past the dams and through the nature reserve; they’ll even put a picnic together for you, or alternatively the restaurant serves great, simple food.
