Posada Amazonas is located two hours from civilisation, deep within the indigenous Ese-Eja’s communal reserve on the edge of the Tambopata Nature Reserve. Offering a slice of luxury within the wilderness, the lodge is expertly run and has been built sympathetically with natural materials to blend in with the surroundings. Rooms are beautifully styled with rustic wooden furniture, hammocks and comfortable beds. Newer suites are more luxurious in their design, and all rooms have electricity until 10pm. Importantly, rooms only have three walls as they have been designed to give the feeling of being immersed in the forest. You can look out to the jungle from the comfort of your room. During your time here you will be accompanied by a naturalist guide, who will expertly scan the surroundings to help you spot playful river otters, colourful macaws and howler monkeys.
