Most people will head to Mancora at the end of a busy touring holiday in Peru, having had plenty of early starts and long journeys. Therefore having time to unwind completely on a warm, sandy beach is usually the main draw of a visit here. The main activities that can be arranged if you find yourself getting restless are predominantly surfing (including surfing lessons if you are a beginner), kite-surfing and fishing. During August and September humpback whales are also present in the waters here, and tours can easily be arranged through your hotel or in the town once you arrive.
